Background:

A team comprising 5 members visited three villages of Jharkhand in request of “Swami Satyabodhananda of Ramakrishna Mission who urged us to take initiative and under take up the community development programme in these villages of Jharkhand.. Identical problems are observed in all the villages of that region.

 Findings revealed that the main requirements of the villagers are (a) revival of education system (b) generation of jobs and (c) providing proper medical facility. The team suggested immediate and prompt action and thus Project Jharkhand started.
